My in laws have a shop and it's just chock full of amazing "industrial" finds. We've been scoping it out for the past few months, especially when we were considering building a new house from the ground up. I saw this table and HAD to have it.
Hard to see under all that stuff, but I figured it was a faux Saarinen table. We finally brought it back to Houston and were loading it into the car and I look underneath and see it says "Knoll Industries" and I exclaimed to my husband "This is the real thing."
We're going to have the base re-powder coated, as it's pretty banged up. And I really don't like the wood laminate top (that is also banged up), so hopefully today (thanks to craiglist) we'll be getting a replacement top in marble. HOORAH. Here is a in-between pic, pre clean-up, but in situ
Has anyone noticed that Ringo is in all my pictures? He follows me around. I'll try to get Emmit in another. Please note how hideous the tile floor is in the kitchen. Hopefully we'll have room in the budget to replace that sooner versus later.
